Alesana - Apology

Sweat drips in my eyes…screams of lost we cry
Tonight you are everything to me…you're everything
You're everything to me no more
As I wake from this perfect dream
I'll escape from Eden's walls; I can not stay and live this lie
For I must think only of myself

and to think that you would not be
Scared or surprised if I had severed all
These ties
This is the end …

I'll lose myself in anguish for tonight,
Help me get over you

I feel so numb to see this bitter
(It has come to this)
End of beautiful illusions
(One last kiss)
Broken pieces will not mend to
Save our past now

I'll lose myself in anguish for tonight,
Help me get over you
One last false apology,
Help me get over you

Now we must let go… urgency
Overwhelms me as I must restrain
My flood of tears
I refuse to be slave to your false
Beauty again…

I'll lose myself in anguish for tonight,
Help me get over you
One last false apology,
Help me get over you

In my mind
Blood drips from your eyes
A beautiful
Last goodbye

Asking Alexandria - The Final Episode

Oh my God,
oh my God,
if only he knew,
if only he knew,
if only he knew about the world
without the bullshit and the lies.

We could've saved him,
they could've saved me.
But instead I'm here drowning
in my own fucking mind,
and I'll be damned if you're the death of me.

Blood and ink stain the walls,
silently with bloodied knuckles, carry on,
hoping it's not too wrong.
You said the nights were far too long.
Honey, it's just the start of it.

Oh my God,
if he only knew.
Oh my God,
if only he knew,
if only he knew,
if only he knew.
Just stand up and scream,
the tainted clock is counting down.
You gave in to me,
would you say the nights are far too long now?

Oh my God,
(oh my fucking God)
The tears that stain my cheek
must me look weak,
I wear them proudly, I wear them proud.

Just stand up and scream,
the tainted clock is counting down.
You gave in to me,
would you say the nights are far too long now?

Your knife,
my back.
My gun,
your head.

Your knife,
my back.
My gun,
your head.

You need a doctor baby,
you scared?
You need a doctor baby,
you scared?

You need a doctor baby,
you scared?
You need a doctor baby,
you scared, you scared,
you scared, you?

You need a doctor baby,
you scared?

You need a doctor baby,
you scared?
You need a doctor baby,
you need a doctor baby,
you scared?

Asking Alexandria - Prophecy

How stubborn are those scars when they won't fade away?
Or just a gentle reminder that now are better days?

We'll be home soon,
So dry your eyes.
You'll be okay.
(You'll be okay.)

Oh my god the water it's rising, it's rising.
You just have to believe in me,
Failing that I'll ride this storm alone.

We can still make it out.
Fuck!
I can help you through this.
But you have to take my hand.
I can take you home,
Take my hand, Take my hand.
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/a/asking_alexandria/a_prophecy.html ]
I should've known the tides were getting higher.
We can still survive,
They think we're drowning,
But our heads are still above the waves.
(Above the waves)
(I should've known the tides were getting higher...
We can still survive.
Above the waves.
I should've known the tides were getting higher.
I should've known the tides were getting higher.
We can still survive.)

You never said goodbye(Goodbye)
You never said goodbye(Goodbye)
You never said goodbye(Goodbye)
You never said goodbye
And now your on your OWN!

You never said goodbye,
You never said goodbye,
Goodbye!

Beginnings (2007)

Kyle Even was born on September 21, 1985 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. David Schmitt was born on March 25, 1988 also in Colorado. Even was a part of a band in high school named Rivendale with Adam Gallagos, Chris Heaton, Justin Price, and Nate Millie. Schmitt played in a band called As the Flood Water Rose (later named The Autobiography). Both bands played together often. As the Flood Water Rose opened up for Rivendale at Rivendale's album release at Grandpa's Music Box in Thornton. As both bands broke-up for the members' departure for college, Even and Schmitt started Breathe Carolina.
Gossip (2007)

Breathe Carolina started in 2007 with Denver, Colorado natives Kyle Even and David Schmitt recording songs on the music-creating software, GarageBand for fun. They created a MySpace profile, gaining over 10,000 song plays in 2008 and accumulating over 30 million plays during 2009.[1] The name Breathe Carolina came from a dream that Schmitt had in 9th grade,[2] about calming down a woman named Carolina.[3] Soon afterwards, Even quit his job as a photographer[1] to tour with the group full time. Their first EP, Gossip, was released as an iTunes exclusive on November 26, 2007. It was self-released and has since been removed from the store.[4]
It's Classy, Not Classic (2008)

Breathe Carolina recorded their first album using GarageBand, and signed with Rise Records before its release. The album introduced a few new songs that were not featured on Gossip, including "The Introduction", "No Vacancy", "Show Me Yours", "Classified", "That's Classy", and "You Wish". "Don't Forget: Lock The Door" was the only track from the Gossip EP that is not featured on the LP. The album was released on September 16, 2008, and was followed by a tour to promote the album. Breathe Carolina headlined their tour with Every Avenue, Brokencyde, and The Morning Of. While on "The Delicious Tour," they announced that they would be making a music video for "Diamonds". The video has appearances made by Millionaires, as well as Josh White from Umbrella Clothing and This City Is Burning Records. The duo has stated that they would not do any more videos for any song from this album.[citation needed]
Hello Fascination (2009–present)

A few months after the release of Punk Goes Pop 2, shortly after they finished the 2009 "Take Action Tour", Breathe Carolina announced that they had left Rise Records and have signed with Fearless Records and would be in the studio recording their upcoming album Hello Fascination with Mike Green. On June 29, 2009, the first song from Hello Fascination was released: "Welcome To Savannah", which was a featured song on the Fearless Records Summer Sampler 2009. New songs were also played during Vans Warped Tour 2009. These songs include "I.D.G.A.F." and "Hello Fascination". On July 27, 2009, the second song from Hello Fascination was released, the title track of the album. Hello Fascination was released on August 18, 2009.

In September 2009, the band announced they will be headlining the EZ Bronz Tour.[5] Also in 2009, Breathe Carolina was featured on the cover of Substream Music Press, which also features an interview with Even and Schmitt.[6] Toward the end of October 2009, Hello Fascination was released in Japan. The Japanese edition of the album includes a bonus song entitled "Have You Ever Danced?". This song features David Strauchman (Every Avenue), Jeffree Star, and Austin Carlile (of Of Mice & Men).

Breathe Carolina's "Hello Fascination" is the featured track playing in the background of the current promos for NBC's The Jay Leno Show, airing from September 14, 2009. The track was also featured in MTV's The City. Their song "I'm The Type Of Person To Take It Personal" was also featured in The City’s Season Finale in December 2009. Breathe Carolina released a music video for "Hello Fascination" on February 3, 2010. The music video is directed by Spence Nicholsen.

The deluxe edition of Hello Fascination was released on July 6. On June 23, they launched a clothing line called "Blush". "I.D.G.A.F." was announced as the band's next single, with the music video being released on July 30, 2010. The duo played on the Altec Lansing stage during Vans Warped Tour 2010 and covered the song "Down" by Jay Sean for the compilation album "Punk Goes Pop 3" that was released on November 2, 2010.[7]

On November 21, 2010 Breathe Carolina released their second Christmas song on the 'Tis the Season to Be Fearless compilation album from Fearless Records on iTunes. The first Christmas song they released was "Snowed In", which was the first song recorded by the duo as a demo. "Snowed In" was recorded when the band first recorded their EP. The song of "Tis The Season To Be Fearless", however, was entitled "Mile-High Christmas".
Musical style and arrangement

Breathe Carolina essentially are an electronica or electropop duet with a strong dance influence tied in with the music during writing.[8][9] Post-hardcore influence is also present, with screamed vocals and (even at rarer times) breakdowns, however; these elements are usually kept to a minimum in contrast to the group's electronic direction, akin to crunkcore.[10][11] Their entire first EP (Gossip) and debut full-length album (It's Classy, Not Classic) were recorded using only the GarageBand computer program until the recording of Hello Fascination, which can be considered the group's first true studio album.[12][13]

The lead singing vocals of Breathe Carolina are fronted by David Schmitt, and the unclean vocals are provided by Kyle Even. Instruments are also present in the duo's music with Schmitt usually as the lead programmer, but also plays the guitar and drums with Even playing the guitar, bass guitar along with programming. Live performances by Breathe Carolina usually consist of an arrangement of 3-5 extra members providing keyboards, keytars, drums, guitars and bass. Usually during every live set, Joshua Andrew plays guitar (when nessesary) and performs the backing vocals while Eric Armenta provides drums on a standard drum kit to the tempo of the group's songs even when the song itself initially didn't have real percussion to its recording all while Even and Schmitt perform the unclean and clean vocals respectively.

Breathe carolina - "Down" (Jay Sean Cover)

Young fearless baby
Down, down
Even if the sky is falling down
Down, down (oh oh oh)

You oughta know
Tonight is the night to let it go
Put on a show (show, show)
I wanna see how you lose control
So leave it behind, cause we have a night to get away (away, away)
So come on and fly with me as we make our great escape (escape, escape)

So baby don't worry
You are my only
You won't be lonely
Even if the sky is falling down
You'll be my only
No need to worry
Baby are you down down down down down?
Down, down
Baby are you down down down down down?
Down, down
Even if the sky is falling down

Just let it be
Come on and bring your body next to me
I'll take you away (away)
Turn this place into our private getaway
So leave it behind, cause we have a night to get away (away, away)
Come on and fly with me as we make our great escape (escape, escape)
(So why don't we run away)

So baby don't worry
You are my only
You won't be lonely
Even if the sky is falling down
You'll be my only
No need to worry
Baby are you down down down down down?
Down, down (are you down?)
Are you fucking down down down down down?
Down, down (are you down?)
Even if the sky is falling down

Take it down low
Take it down low

Down like she's suppose to be
She gets down all over me
Down like her temperature
Cause to me she's zero degrees
She's cold, over freeze
I got that girl from over seas
Now she's my Miss America
Now can I be her soldier, please?

So baby don't worry
You are my only
You won't be lonely
Even if the sky is falling down
You'll be my only
No need to worry
Baby are you down down down down down?
Down, down (are you down?)
Are you fucking down down down down down?
Down, down (are you down?)
Even if the sky is falling down
